Legal Counsel

Who you are

We offer an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing startup as our first in-house legal person. Working closely with our external lawyers, you will be involved in business transactions, VC deals, IP, privacy, employment law, corporate agenda, legal analysis, or real estate contracts. If you are a self-starter and love creating things from scratch that have a significant impact, this might be the right environment for you.

What you'll do

Provide legal advice on a wide range of business matters
Work closely with our external lawyers and vendors
Draft various legal documents and contracts
Own the creation and maintenance of our internal and external legal documents
Create and implement legal steps and policies to help us grow
Stay up-to-date on relevant industry, commercial, and privacy laws to give the most effective advice

What you need

2+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house legal experience
Strong working knowledge of various legal areas (business, employment, IP, …)
Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken in English and Slovak
Have a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and be able to effectively counsel business teams by providing pragmatic, commercial, and timely advice
Ability to take control of a situation, make decisions and anticipate obstacles
Flexibility to adapt and thrive in an environment that is constantly changing
Bonus points for a technical background and working in a fast-growing international organization
